Intensely loved by two women, who were never meant to be his. Meanwhile, Paro, on the other hand, performs her worldly duties sincerely, but inside her, she can never forget Devdas. Paro then enters into a chaste marriage with a wealthy, much older man, Zamindar Bhuvan, while a shattered Devdas walks towards anguish, alcoholism and Chandramukhi (Madhuri Dixit), a stunning courtesan, who passionately loves him. It causes a rift between the families and even though Devdas tries to convince his father, his father doesn't relent. But Devdas' father meets Paro's mother with condescending arrogance. The tie binding the stories, with a certain jaw-dropping purity of intention, is that the protagonists share the same first name. “David,” a Hindi film directed by Bejoy Nambiar, asks a simple question: Why make a single movie when you can pack three into one? Behold the complicated, entertainingly erratic result: separate story lines set in 1975, 19 that encompass gangster daddy issues, religious extremism and the coveting of a best friend’s fiancée.
